Introduction

The satisfactory operation of the process of multi-stage EC type-approval requires joint action by all the manufacturers concerned and to this end approval authorities must ensure, before granting first and subsequent stage approval, that suitable arrangements exist between the relevant manufacturers for the supply and interchange of documents and information such that the completed vehicle type meets the technical requirements of all the relevant regulatory acts.

The I-Design bodybuilder portal has been constructed to be used as the primary information medium between ISUZU TRUCK (UK) LTD and you, the company who are acting as the bodybuilders for our dealer network in the commercial vehicle industry.

The system will provide all the relevant information needed to allow your company to facilitate the work of fitting bodies to Isuzu N and F series incomplete chassis cabs.

It should be noted that the information provided only refers to our current product range of vehicles chassis cabs sold within the UK and covered by European incomplete certification. It does not cover the entire range of model types sold in Europe or the rest of the World.

In order to access the full range of information, you must firstly register your details and log into the Portal with your user data.

Your rights of access to the Portal will be verified by our Engineering team and you will be provided with a username and password which must be kept confidential and not passed to other individuals.

There is a scale of charges that will be dependent on your route to approval for the completed vehicle and this is a one off charge payable in advance of the release of information and access to the full system applicable.

Terms

By agreeing access to the portal, verifying of details and the issue of a username and password, Isuzu Truck UK Ltd of 164 Great North Road, HATFIELD, Hertfordshire AL9 5JN will then agree to enter into an agreement with your company to data share information regarding European vehicle systems and type approval information for the express purposes for the use as part of the completion process of bodybuilding functions on Isuzu vehicles to effect the completion of the vehicle chassis cab as supplied, from the incomplete stage, to the completed stage where:

By ‘data sharing’ it is to mean the disclosure of Isuzu Motors Ltd specific data by Isuzu Truck UK Ltd to the third party organisation (The bodybuilder) as agreed above.

By “data sharing”, that it can be shown that suitable arrangements have been made available between Isuzu, as the manufacturer, for the supply and interchange of documents and information such that the completed vehicle type meets the technical requirements of all the relevant regulatory acts as prescribed in EEC 2007/46.

The data provided is only for use to the bodybuilder as given access as above and is not to be distributed, made available, loaned, copied, sold or forwarded to another party without the express permission in writing from Isuzu Truck UK Ltd.

The manufacturer Isuzu Motors Ltd and Isuzu Truck UK Ltd reserves the right to make changes to the design, form, colour and the scope of delivery and service specification during the delivery period, provided these changes, while taking into account the interests of Isuzu Truck (UK) Ltd and Isuzu Motors Japan, can be deemed reasonable with respect to the purchaser. Colours may differ slightly from those shown, owing to the limitations of the printing process. Individual pages may include models and services which are not available in individual countries.
